ShipDocs just shipped its biggest update yet.

We rebuilt the parts of ShipDocs you use most, and we think you'll notice right away. Four big changes:

1. **Docs that read like an engineer wrote them**
2. **One chat for your whole codebase**
3. **Your docs, wherever your AI works**
4. **Free months you can earn**

Nothing needs setup on your end.

## Docs that actually make sense

Every page is now written for engineers who didn't write the code, with real file paths, function-level detail, and clickable citations.

- Stale pages disappear automatically when folders merge or go away, so your docs always match your code.
- Each project has a versions page showing what changed, when, and from which commit.
- Every page still exports as Markdown whenever you need it.

**What happens to your existing docs:** They regenerate on your next sync, or immediately if you hit Regenerate. Large folders are no longer split into parts, so some old module URLs will go away. Chat history, exports, sync settings, and encryption are unchanged.

## Ask your whole codebase at once

The dashboard is now a workspace chat. Ask one question and get answers across every project you can access, with citations showing the project and file path.

- Group related repos (like a service and its shared library) and read their docs together in a single place.
- Chat always shows its scope, like "Reading only this project" or "Reading only *Payments* · 4 projects", and you can switch in one click.
- Dropped connection? ShipDocs resumes or retries instead of losing the reply.

Your per-project chat is still there — it now lives in the right-hand panel of a project's docs, where you're already reading.

## ShipDocs inside your editor and everywhere AI works

The MCP endpoint is live for every project. Point Cursor, Claude, or any AI agent at it, and they'll read your generated docs with citations.

**Coming soon:** ChatGPT and Grok Bot plugins. Approve once in ShipDocs, and they can query your documentation directly.

## Two ways to earn free months

- **Refer a friend:** Share your link at [/referral](/referral). When they start their trial, you get **30 free days**, and they get their first **33 days free**.
- **Share and earn:** Post about ShipDocs on X and earn free days based on views. **100+ views = 3 days, 500+ = 7 days, 1,000+ = 14 days, 5,000+ = 28 days.** Your best post each week counts. Track everything at [/share](/share).

Earned days are applied for you — they extend a trial, discount the next invoice, or extend your access — and every grant is listed in your dashboard so free time is never a mystery.

## Faster, with fewer dead ends

Syncs and regenerations now skip unchanged files, reuse plans, and only rewrite pages that a commit actually changed.

Bitbucket connections are fixed too: pushes that hit a timeout are retried automatically, and transient import errors recover on their own.

## Plans and pricing

A one-time **Lifetime** license is now available alongside **Pro**, **Advanced**, and **Ultra**. Yearly billing gives you 4 months free.

There is no free plan — every account starts with a **3-day free trial of Advanced**, on your own repositories. See current plans at [/pricing](/pricing).

## Try these in your first two minutes

1. Open the dashboard and ask the workspace chat something you'd normally dig through three repos to answer.
2. Open a project's docs and read one module page. It should read like someone who actually read the code wrote it.
3. Grab your invite link at [/referral](/referral). It's the easiest month you'll earn this quarter.
